Project Description: “Experts in Success” is an interactive sales presentation created by Touchscreen Media Group and was designed to teach doctors when and how to prescribe the Duragesic ® (fentanyl transdermal system) patch, a product from Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. A visually stimulating presentation, this CD-ROM was created with a combination of both 2D and 3D graphics, allowing the user to navigate through sections using buttons and by clicking on objects in a 3D virtual office. Live video of a program host and three doctors was shot against a blue screen, then composited into the 3D environments so that the people in the presentation appear within a 3-Dimensional space. The program also contains a customization feature that allows representatives to insert the name(s) of the person(s) or group to whom they are presenting and a dosage calculator.

Role: My role in this project was to lead the design and creation of the 3D environments and elements required for the virtual office presentation. I was also in charge of the video capture, compositing, and compression processes and I worked closely with the Director programmers to ensure the video was able to play back seamlessly on the client's laptops.

Applications: I used 3DS Max to create the environments and 3D elements. The video footage was captured using Premiere with the Targa 2000 card. I composited the footage in AfterEffects. The final video segments were batch compressed with Premiere.
